Beautiful vintage designer vase from the Aldo Mori “Sunset” / Lava line by Bitossi.
Characterized by the deep relief structures, the vibrant orange-turquoise glazes, and the typical Mori patterns that make this series so beloved by collectors.
This piece bears the marking 8170 JAPAN at the bottom, which refers to the original Bitossi export line from the 1960s–70s.
This vase was certainly produced before 1961, as it was a wedding gift for my parents.
An authentic, rarer distribution model — not a reproduction.
The colors are exceptionally bright and the condition is excellent.
A real eye-catcher for lovers of Italian ceramics, mid-century modern, and art pottery.
