20-piece Bing & Grøndahl "Seagull with Gold Rim" (Blå Måsen) porcelain set, made in Denmark between the 1950s and 1980s.
A beautiful 20-piece porcelain set from the traditional Danish manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl (B&G), "Seagull with Gold Rim" (Blå Måsen) series – a classic of Scandinavian design heritage.
Genuine handcraft, truly unique.
Each seagull is hand-painted onto the porcelain, with its own character and the finest Danish craftsmanship – no two pieces are alike.
Quality and condition.
This set is offered as a second: The main pieces (gravy boat, dinner plates, soup plates) bear the typical brown and gold sorting mark from the factory. However, for everyday use as well as for festive occasions, the set remains a real eye-catcher, as the minor imperfections are barely noticeable. All pieces are in good condition (hand-washed only), the gold rim shines brightly, and is free of chips and cracks.

- 5 soup plates, approx. 21.5 cm diameter – Model No. 323
- 4 breakfast plates, approx. 19.3 cm diameter – Model No. 618

- 3 dessert/bread plates, approx. 15.3 cm diameter – Model No. 28A
- 1 gravy boat (permanently attached to saucer) – Model No. 8A, a highly sought-after collector's item.
The price is for the complete 20-piece set, including the gravy boat.
Stamp and provenance.
Several pieces (618, 616, 323, 8A, 28A) bear the green B&G logo with the three towers – an indication of production in the 1950s. Other pieces already show the newer Royal Copenhagen stamp (crown with wavy lines) from the period after the 1987 merger. This mix makes the set a small historical document of the manufacturer's history.
