This lamp was designed in 1958 by the legendary Danish architect and lighting designer Poul Henningsen. The Model: It is the famous PH 5 model. The "5" in the name refers to the diameter of the largest shade, which is exactly 50 centimeters. The Design: The goal of the design was to create 100% glare-free light. The ingenious system of the concentric shades and the trumpet-shaped reflector ensures that you cannot directly see the light source from any angle and the light is always directed softly and diffusely downwards.
