A vintage desk lamp by the Dutch manufacturer Gepo (Gebr. Posthuma) from Amsterdam, dating from the 60s or 70s. This piece is a characteristic example of the Space Age era, with its iconic 'eyeball' shade and functional, minimalist construction. The lamp is made from a combination of metal and chrome and has the characteristic cast-iron counterweight in the base. The adjustable spherical shade is finished in an olive-brown lacquer and is mounted on a slender, chrome-plated arm.
