An elegant pair of vases designed by Paul Heller for Glasfabriek Boom in Belgium, dating from the 1940s or 1950s. This duo illustrates the refined aesthetic of the Art Deco and Mid-Century periods, characterized by striking contrasts and geometric decorations.
Both vases are crafted from black hyalite glass and display different decorative techniques. The first vase features a matte 'dentelle' texture at the base and is finished with wide, horizontal gold or bronze bands. The second vase is entirely glossy black, decorated with silver bands and subtle red lines. Each vase has a height of 22 centimeters and a diameter of 19 centimeters at the top rim. Both pieces still bear the original paper factory label, confirming their provenance.
The vases are in good vintage condition, befitting their age. They retain their structural integrity and the decorative elements are well preserved, contributing to their authentic character.
This pair of vases makes a stylish addition to a classic or eclectic interior. They come into their own perfectly on a sideboard or as a centerpiece on a dining table, where they add a touch of historical elegance.
