These beautiful paintings are amate art, a Mexican folk art form primarily produced in villages in the state of Guerrero, such as Xalitla, Ameyaltepec, and San Agustín Oapan (Nahua communities). I inherited them, and there is no artist's name on them. The framing shop from back then is listed, but it no longer exists (I can't find it). I put a different frame on one painting; the glass on the other two frames broke during the move (so these frames need to be replaced). If anyone knows exactly who the work belongs to, I would love to hear from you! They can also be purchased individually for 350 euros each.
