Product description
For sale: a beautiful antique fruit bowl from the renowned French pottery Sarreguemines. This authentic majolica (also called a barbotine) piece dates from around the turn of the century (circa 1890-1920). Later, the term "made in France" was replaced by "France." The bowl stands on an elegant base and is richly decorated with a vibrant relief of various fruits, including pears, strawberries, and plums, hand-painted in bright colors. The pottery is finished with a beautiful glaze that has stood the test of time and has a natural crackle texture, enhancing its antique appearance. The underside is marked with the stamp "SARREGUEMINES FRANCE" and the production number "3924." A perfect decorative piece for a country, antique, or classic interior.
