A large enfilade SIDEBOARD by Jean Claude Mahey in elm burl and brass, in its long and relatively low version, with particularly slender lines. The interior is red lacquered. The burr elm parts are in exceptional condition with no scratches, and the matt varnish that characterises JC Mahey's creations is original. The purfling is not simple plating but solid brass, 4mm thick, inlaid into the burr elm to form a slight relief. The back of the sideboard is also in burr elm with the same level of finish, so the piece of furniture can be visible from all sides and used, for example, as a room divider.
