A large ceramic floor vase produced in West Germany by the renowned Bay Keramik manufacturer in the 1950s or 1960s.
A striking example of West German art ceramics (so-called West German pottery) in the iconic Mid-Century Modern style. The vase is characterized by a light, beige-and-cream painted base with a rough, stone-like texture. The matte background features minimalist, hand-painted geometric motifs in the form of asymmetrical lines and colorful triangles in shades of ochre and blue.
The vase has a classic, bulging shape that tapers towards the base, making it perfect for displaying directly on the floor or on a low countertop. It is a distinctive decorative element that will perfectly complement interiors in retro, vintage, space age, or modern classic styles.
