The Panama Bold, designed by Paola Navone for the Italian company Baxter, is an iconic piece with a sculptural and generous design. Fully modular, this sofa is distinguished by its deep volumes, low seat, and exceptionally supple leather, a hallmark of Baxter's craftsmanship. It is offered here in the Polish Plum finish, a full-grain leather 1.4 to 1.6 mm thick, made from carefully selected bovine hides. Chrome-tanned and retanned to guarantee strength and stability, it is then dyed with pure aniline using a two-step process, longer than traditional methods, resulting in remarkable transparency, intense depth of color, and a natural finish that enhances the original grain. Protected by waxes and oils, it reveals a glossy, rich, and authentic appearance while retaining exceptional suppleness. The hides, sourced exclusively from animals raised free-range in pastures, sometimes display slight natural markings that attest to their authenticity and contribute to the unique character of each piece. This complete sofa set comes from an art gallery near Venice. Selected for the exceptional quality of its leather and its distinctly contemporary style, it embodies a minimalist yet sophisticated vision of comfort.
