Product description
A rare and iconic Bauhaus-style chrome sofa manufactured by the Slezák Company in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. This authentic pre-war design features a distinctive bent chromed-steel tube frame, wire suspension base, and removable upholstered cushions typical of early European modernism. Its clean geometry, functional elegance, and timeless silhouette make it a significant example of interwar Czechoslovak design.
The sofa remains in its original, well-preserved vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. The chrome retains a strong shine, the structure is stable, and the piece can be placed directly into an interior. The cushions can also be easily reupholstered to match contemporary styling while preserving the original frame.
