Product description
A very rare, original opal glass Bauhaus ceiling lamp from the 1920s. The shade is made of beautifully thick opal glass and features a unique hinge system that secures it to the base. The metal edge within the shade also ensures that this vulnerable area is well protected.
The lamp's design is characteristic of the early Bauhaus era and features a very progressive, sleek, and modern design.
The lamp is completely original and has its original copper E27 socket. This is still perfectly usable, making this a truly unique, completely original Bauhaus lamp from the 1920s.
The lamp is in beautiful condition considering its age of approximately 100 years. Most noteworthy are a few minor, unobtrusive scratches, as shown in the last photo, and a few small gray spots on the inside of the shade. These may be removable.
