This twelve-piece collection of decorative plates from the 'Waterbirds of the World' series was designed by renowned bird artist Basil Ede for Franklin Porcelain. The set features a detailed and lifelike depiction of various waterbirds, making this collection particularly appealing to enthusiasts of ornithology and classic porcelain.
Each plate is crafted from fine porcelain and finished with a refined 24-carat gold rim. The collection includes the 'Snow Goose', 'Canada Goose', 'Green-Winged Teal', 'Canvasback', and 'American Golden Plover', among others. The plates were produced in Japan in 1981 as a limited edition. The set comes complete with the original certificates of authenticity and accompanying hanging systems.
