Product description
Very rare bamboo and wicker chair designed in 1956 by the dutch - french couple Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan rol. The illustrious couple won several prices, including the gold medal at the expo in Brussels in 1958 for this particular chair (see last photo). Very few were made, and a set of 6 of these chairs with a matching coffee table was commissioned in 1958 by Shah Pahlavi of Iran for his garden in Baghdad. All this recommended by Jean Royere, who did the interior design for the Shah’s residence in Baghdad. In excellent condition.
