Bambi Desk Lamp by Floris H. Fiedeldij for Artimeta, The Netherlands (1950s)
Floris H. Fiedeldij was one of the most influential Dutch designers of the postwar era, known for his modernist and functional approach. As founder of Artimeta, he introduced a series of refined and playful lighting objects that are now highly sought after by collectors.
The Bambi desk lamp is one of his early designs from the 1950s. It features a metallic shade, perforated at the edges to create a subtle and decorative light effect. The shade is mounted on a slender, elegantly angled stem with a minimal base, making the lamp both practical and charmingly sculptural.
This lamp is in very good vintage condition, showing only light signs of age. A rare and beautiful piece of Dutch design history, representing the early years of Artimeta and the creative vision of Fiedeldij.
