S. Pengelly:
Born in Henley, UK, Simon Pengelly studied at Kingston Polytechnic and Rycotewood.
At the age of eight, Simon worked in his father's furniture-making workshop. It was at the end of his studies that he decided to begin his career as a designer for the Conran Design Group.
In 1990, the Englishman founded his own design studio in London, Studio Pengelly.
This studio produced designs for major British, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, and American publishing houses.
His designs possess a seamless blend of engineering, clean lines, and a timeless quality.
A few years later, he won the Compasso d’Oro, a highly prestigious award in the design world!
Subsequently, he had the opportunity to work on numerous projects in the fields of product design, transportation, and interior design, particularly lighting.
Notably, he designed the Innerlight lighting for the Italian company Foscarini: “a luminous wall sculpture suitable for both private homes and public spaces.”
