Authentic Indian opium table, now used as a coffee table.
Made around 1880.
At that time, the UK cultivated opium in Pakistan and India to sell to China. A colonial policy that has not yet been forgotten.
It made England incredibly wealthy and kept those countries destitute. The table is made of hardwood and is skillfully carved. It is 60 cm high, 194 cm long, and 86 cm wide.
