A beautiful, original Art Nouveau vase by the renowned French glass master François-Théodore Legras (Saint-Denis). This example features an attractive reddish-orange marbled look ("verre émaillé"), typical of the early 20th century.
The vase is richly decorated with hand-painted, fire-gilded scrollwork motifs on the top. At the bottom of the body is the authentic, hand-painted gold-enamel signature "Leg." This distinctive monogram was used by the Legras factories for their artistic glass lines between 1910 and 1925.
The decoration is tactile and in relief on the glass, a testament to the craftsmanship of that period. Maker: Legras (Saint-Denis, France)
