Unique and powerful pair of wooden statues (man & woman), hand-carved from solid African hardwood. Probably originating from the Lobi culture (Burkina Faso/Ghana), circa 1900–1950.
The statues are traditional ritual/ancestral figures (bateba) and wear their original animal hide/leather coverings. They have a beautiful, aged patina with visible signs of wear, consistent with their age and authenticity.
Sold exclusively as a set.

Height: approx. 77 cm per statue
Asking price: €1,750 (real offer negotiable)
Ideal for a collector, gallery, or a characterful interior.
