Product description
A stunning and rare mid-century modern luxury jewelry box / treasure chest designed by the celebrated Italian master craftsman Aldo Tura (Milano), dating back to the 1960s. This exquisite collector's item features Tura’s signature high-gloss, hand-lacquered parchment / goatskin in a beautiful warm cream hue. The box is ornately decorated with its original solid brass pyramid studs, elegant brass side handles, and matching feet. The interior is lined with its original, luxurious deep green velvet cushioning, which is in excellent vintage condition.

Hand-lacquered goatskin (parchment), solid brass, wood, velvet lining.
The goatskin retains its beautiful high-gloss finish with a gorgeous natural patina on the brass elements. Light, age-appropriate wear that confirms its authenticity. As expected with authentic 60-year-old parchment pieces, subtle, fine horizontal craquelure lines are present on the front edge of the lid. These are purely cosmetic, stable, and serve as proof of age and authenticity.
One metal foot has been re-glued at the bottom., some damage to the wood is visible (please see images) The repair is sturdy and entirely hidden from view when the box is placed upright. There is some sticker residue on the bottom from the TURA sticker that was originally on it.
Note: The key is not included (lock is currently open/unlocked).
A true masterpiece of Italian Hollywood Regency design, perfect for collectors or as a statement piece in a high-end interior.
