For sale: a beautiful example of the iconic Cleopatra Daybed, designed by Dick Cordemeijer (also known as André Cordemeyer) in 1953 for Auping. This bed is a masterpiece of Dutch Mid-Century Modern design and is known for its timeless, minimalist lines.
The design was revolutionary at the time because it broke with traditional, heavy bed shapes. The combination of the black steel frame and the warm wooden (teak) ends makes it a perfect fit for both vintage and modern interiors. The bed is extremely versatile: with a few beautiful cushions, it functions as a stylish lounge sofa during the day and a comfortable (guest) bed at night.
