For sale is a Danish design classic from the 1970s: a beautiful, 7-piece dining set made of solid pine, attributed to designer Rainer Daumiller (for Hirtshals Savværk). The set is a prime example of Scandinavian Brutalism and impresses with its striking, organically curved forms and solid construction. Thanks to its central T-shaped base, the dining table offers excellent legroom. The two included extension leaves (45 cm each) allow for flexible extension of the table: Closed length: 150 cm; With one leaf: 195 cm; Maximum extension: 240 cm.
The set includes a total of six iconic, ergonomically shaped solid wood chairs: 4 chairs without armrests; 2 chairs with armrests (armchair style, particularly comfortable and rare!).
Note: As the typical paper labels from that era are no longer present, the set is attributed to Rainer Daumiller due to its absolutely identical construction, dimensions, and quality of workmanship. Condition: The dining set is in good, very well-maintained vintage condition. The solid pine wood is extremely sturdy and has developed a warm patina. There are normal signs of age, such as minor dents and superficial scratches.
These are perfectly normal for this soft natural wood after more than 50 years and emphasize the charming, brutalist character of the set.
