STYLE:
Danish / Mid-Century Modern
DESCRIPTION: The frame is fully upholstered in leather, with armrests and headrest featuring additional cushions secured by leather buttons; the seat cushion fits snugly and has a zippered leather cover. The base is made of solid aluminum, with a high-gloss polished top and floor protectors on the underside; the rocking mechanism is operated by a rotary knob with adjustable return force, and the reclining position can be locked in place with a side lever. Seams executed as elegant piping

DESIGNER:
Gustav Thams
Thams was a German industrial designer, born in Flensburg in 1935 and died in Tønder, Denmark, in 2016. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Flensburg and began his career as a furniture maker before turning to industrial design.
MATERIAL:
- Naturally grained cowhide nappa leather, naturally grown, unique in its pattern of pores, scars, and surface texture, drum-dyed with aniline dye, pigmented, easy to care for yet soft;
- High-gloss polished aluminum
- Painted steel
COLOR:
Deep black / silver

CONDITION:

We have completely restored this lounge chair according to our quality guidelines, and it is in excellent, like-new condition, both technically and visually. Standing before it, you'd think it was brand new! By the way, if you compare, you'll immediately see the difference in our work, not only in the leather but especially in the aluminum base. With us, you get a high-gloss polished surface with a homogeneous, silver-colored aluminum structure, unlike the matte, scratched, and blemished finish offered by other providers!

TRANSPORTATION:
We have found that transport via Whoppah courier is sometimes significantly (100-150%) higher than the market price charged by standard furniture shipping companies and couriers! A more affordable non-EU transport via general cargo carrier in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
