For sale is a completely restored, original de Sede DS-31 (Series 1) lounge chair with black leather, in mint condition!

DESCRIPTION:
With its generous seating area and very comfortable upholstery, this chair is the perfect place to relax. The chair is particularly striking due to its craftsmanship, where the leather on the seat and back cushions has been meticulously hand-stitched with leather straps by de Sede's master upholsterers. The armrests are another special detail. Resembling a twisted musical note, they give the DS-31 models of the first series their distinctive character. A true de Sede masterpiece with a very high recognition value.
CONSTRUCTION:
Swivel steel and wood frame with the classic de Sede "Space Age" base from the 1960s, made of highly polished aluminum (today's DS-31 models have a different look); backrest and seat form a single unit and are connected to the base via a tilt mechanism (adjustable and wear-free torsion spring); armrest modules are attached laterally to the seat unit by steel components and screwed to the base; seat cushion fits snugly; back cushion rests on top, fixed at the back with integrated reinforcement for the chrome-plated hooks; both cushions have zippers;
Extremely high-quality upholstery and workmanship, heavy and durable construction of the highest quality standard.

CONDITION:
Like new! This elegant lounge chair is in impeccable and unique condition, both technically and visually. It has been completely restored by a professional restorer according to traditional quality guidelines and looks like new—apart from the typical leather creases. The high-quality aniline-dyed leather has been regenerated, recolored, sealed, and treated by a leather technician, as it had lost some color intensity over the years. The leather has no stains, scratches, tears, or holes and is completely odorless. The relaxed upholstery is beautifully firm and voluminous. The original de sede fabric is flawless. The base has been disassembled, the mechanism serviced, and the aluminum has been re-sanded and subsequently polished. Result: If you're looking for a timeless classic from the Series 1 with the original leather upholstery in pristine condition, feel free to search the internet worldwide—you won't find a better one!

This DS-31 Lounge Chair, in this configuration with the polished Space Age aluminum base and tilt mechanism, is no longer available. The current re-edition of the DS-31/111 has a steel base and no tilt mechanism! In the "Living" leather group in black, item no. 2811, the re-edition currently costs €7,005 (source: authorized dealer). Due to significantly higher manufacturing costs, the classic version offered here is likely considerably more expensive.

Affordable non-EU transport via general cargo carrier in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
