DESCRIPTION:
solid teak frame dowelled and screwed with spherically shaped armrests; fitted seat frame with new belt covering; seat frame fitted with new protective stretch fabric; high-quality spring core cushions that can be used from both sides with new premium virgin wool cover in classic Salt & Pepper design, hand-stitched on the back with the so-called hidden seam, so that no "disturbing" zipper is visible from the back for an aesthete; seams otherwise executed as an elegant fell seam (with this type of seam, the individual cover parts interlock as with finger hooking and are then sewn twice. This type of seam is therefore considerably more robust, has a significantly higher tensile strength and is significantly more durable than the usual single / standard seams).

The architect and designer Arne Wahl Iversen was one of the most important Scandinavian Mid - Century Modern designers. He worked for Hans Hansen, Kolds Savvaerk, Vinde Møbelfabrik, Jørgensen & Nissen, Brenderup Møbelfabrik, Falster Møbelfabriken and for Ikea, among others.

Some of the photos have been exposed in high light so that the 1a condition can also be seen in detail! Reddish tones become redder and colors become generally brighter. The shadow areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reflect the natural color tones. Gloss on the photos or grayish or milky areas are also due to exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are silk matt to silk gloss.

CONDITION:
Stunning, like new! This set has been lovingly restored by a restorer using traditional and natural materials and has virtually no signs of use!
After disassembly into all individual parts, the teak wood was subjected to an elaborate surface treatment. The old oil layer was removed and the original teakwood base restored through a multi-stage core cleaning and subsequent careful sanding treatment. The subsequent multi-layered oil application, in which different oils developed and coordinated by us were used, creates an extraordinary depth effect and a very pleasant, warm feel in addition to increased durability.
The cushions are also in perfect condition. No wonder, the previous owner had the virgin wool cover, the straps and the stretch fabric renewed.
You won't find these armchairs in this outstanding condition anywhere else. You are welcome to search worldwide, we have looked at all the offers! You will not only see the difference with us, you will also feel it!
This set is just right for the design lover who is looking for fair value for money and doesn't want to compromise on condition.

This armchair is no longer available today. To give an indication, this type of Danish armchair made of solid teak and virgin wool has a new price today, depending on the type and manufacturer, of around 2800 - 3800 euros per piece! (See e.g. Dyrlund).

TRANSPORT:
We have found that transportation by Whoppah courier is sometimes considerably (100-150%) higher than the market price of the usual removal companies and furniture couriers! We can organize a cheaper transport within Germany, to the Netherlands, to neighbouring German countries or an EU transport for you if necessary. Inexpensive non-EU transportation by general cargo forwarder in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
