DESCRIPTION:
Solid teak frame, doweled and screwed, with spherically shaped armrests; fitted seat frame with new webbing; seat frame covered with new protective fabric; high-quality, reversible spring core cushions with new premium pure wool covers in the classic Salt & Pepper design, hand-stitched on the back with a concealed seam, so that even the most discerning eye will not see a visible zipper from the back; Seams are otherwise executed as elegant flat-felled seams (in this type of seam, the individual cover pieces interlock like finger wrestling and are then double-stitched. This seam type is therefore considerably more robust, has significantly higher tensile strength, and is considerably more durable than the usual single/standard seams).

The architect and designer Arne Wahl Iversen was one of the most important Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern designers. He worked for, among others, Hans Hansen, Kolds Savvaerk, Vinde Møbelfabrik, Jørgensen & Nissen, Brenderup Møbelfabrik, Falster Møbelfabriken, and Ikea.

Note:
Some photos are overexposed to show the pristine condition in detail. This makes reddish tones appear more reddish and colors generally appear lighter. The surfaces have a satin to semi-gloss finish.

CONDITION:
Stunning, like new! This set has been lovingly restored by a professional restorer using traditional and natural materials and shows virtually no signs of wear!
After being completely disassembled, the teak wood underwent a meticulous surface treatment. A multi-stage core cleaning followed by careful sanding removed the old oil layer and restored the original teak base. The subsequent multi-layered oil finish, using various oils developed and perfectly matched by us, not only increases durability but also creates an exceptional depth of color and a wonderfully warm feel.
The cushions are also in impeccable condition. No wonder, as the previous owner had the pure wool covers, webbing, and upholstery replaced.
