For sale is a Rolf Benz 355 functional sofa in fine "butter-soft" premium leather in showroom condition. There are a total of 2 pieces available.
Incidentally, the 355 is one of Rolf Benz's most successful pieces of upholstered furniture!

DESCRIPTION:
The Rolf Benz 355 has a generosity that you can see and feel. A deep seat, tilt-adjustable armrests and wonderfully comfortable back cushions promise relaxation on a grand scale. A new favorite place with sophistication and sovereignty that is particularly effective in a spacious ambience.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Body cover quilted with polyester fleece and covered with polyether foam
- Back cushion made of polyether foam
- Back cushions in down-like design, worked in chambers with a filling of foam rods and polyester fibers
- Seat made of polyether foam, built up in layers in different heights and hardnesses, covered with polyester fleece
- Side sections can be adjusted in three positions using a locking mechanism
- Wooden inner frame
- Steel shaft spring suspension
- Tubular metal base, black anodized with end plate

MATERIAL:
naturally grained cowhide nappa leather, originally grown, unique in the pattern of pores, grain and surface structure, dyed through in the aniline barrel, lightly pigmented (semi-aniline), easy-care, hard-wearing and yet soft and supple, with high durability and value retention.
A little leather lore: "Not all leather is the same!"
Please do not compare this leather with artificially grained leather. With artificially grained leather, the lower skin layers of the animal hide (split leather) are pressed through heated steel rollers. The rollers have a surface that is modeled on the natural leather grain and thus create an artificial grain (embossing) of the original smooth leather through pressure and heat.
The furniture is often advertised with the term "genuine leather", which is factually correct. This does not mean high quality, it is by no means a seal of quality, but only means that it is not artificial leather! Incidentally, the leather is characterized by quite a high degree of wear and tear, with normal use the grain disappears after a while. It also feels cold and often quite rubbery due to the high amount of color applied. The difference in quality can also be seen in the price; it only costs around 1/3 of the price of high-quality leather at the tanneries, as it is actually a reject or third-choice product in the conventional sense.

The photos are exposed in high light so that the 1a condition is also visible in detail! This makes colors generally lighter and black grayer. The shadow areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reflect the natural color tones. Gloss on the photos or grayish or milky areas are also due to exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are silk matt.

CONDITION:
Like new, exhibition condition! Signs of use? None, and if so, then so slight that we didn't notice them! The leather is a dream! Soft as butter. You will not only see the difference to the other 355 sofas offered on the internet (scratches, many creases, pressure marks, pressure lines, standard leather), you will feel it!
Certainly by far the best on the market at the moment. Just the thing for a design lover who is looking for top condition and doesn't want to compromise on condition!

Important! For those who have been looking for a 355 for a long time! Please do not compare this sofa with the price of the Rolf Benz sofas with artificial leather grain, e.g. the advantage edition with the 60 entry-level leather or with the standard leather of the 34 or 36 group. This sofa here is in a completely different quality league!

We have found that transportation by Whoppah courier is sometimes considerably (100-150%) above the market price of the usual furniture removal companies and furniture couriers! We can organize a cheaper transport within Germany, to the Netherlands, to neighbouring German countries or an EU transport for you if necessary. Inexpensive non-EU transportation by general cargo forwarder in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
