Product description
This Artona coffee table was designed in the 1970s by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto, the artisanal woodworking division of B&B Italia. The Artona collection was Maxalto's first project and emphasized a reappraisal of wood and craftsmanship as a reaction to the then-dominant use of plastic.
The table is crafted from walnut, with characteristic dark inlay lines that extend from the top to the legs. A connecting crossbar provides stability and reinforces the balanced, structural character of the design. The warm walnut and the meticulous finish give the table an understated yet distinctive appearance.
The coffee table is in excellent vintage condition and fits effortlessly into both modern and more classic interiors.
