This serving trolley was designed in the 1950s by Italian architects Campo and Graffi for Artimeta Netherlands. Artimeta was a progressive company that was far ahead of its time with its philosophy of extreme minimalism. In addition to founder Floris Fiedeldij, Mathieu Mategot also created various designs for Artimeta. This serving trolley is truly rare: you will not be able to find many examples on the internet. The metal construction of the serving trolley is not lacquered but finished with a powder coating. This method was first applied in the 1940s and is still used today for finishing steel. There is a small bare spot on one of the corners of the serving trolley, visible in one of the photos. The glass tops (with rounded corners) are in very good condition.
Dimensions: 50 x 48 cm. Height 63 cm.
