Oyster F157 designed by Pierre Paulin in 1958 for Artifort (Netherlands). This chair is a true Dutch Design Style Classic. The metal legs are slightly slanted, the curved plywood tub seems to float above these legs. A soft layer of molded foam has been professionally reupholstered with a beautiful light woolen fabric. Which perfectly matches the soft shape of this Oyster. The Oyster F157 is an elegant, playful chair. Not dominant in shape, but special.

This French industrial designer has made several designs for Artifort, but also for Thonet. A number of his designs are included in the collection of the Center Pompidou in Paris. In terms of design language, this design best matches the Oyster. The frame is original to ensure authenticity, this frame is finished with the original aluminum paint, not like the later version in chrome. It is possible to touch on the dark spots on the frame, but for now we opted for originality.
