The first edition of the Oyster armchair F156 with a nickel-plated frame, designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1958 and released in the late 1950s/early 1960s. The armchair was produced in two sizes; this is the smaller, rarer version. Since the 1960s/70s, Pierre Paulin has been renowned worldwide for his furniture and complete interior designs. His designs are characterized by sculptural forms based on pure seating comfort. Designs like this exceptionally comfortable chair are a clear reflection of their time, yet thanks to their progressive design, they are timeless and suitable for any interior.
We have just professionally reupholstered the Oyster, and it is ready for a lifetime of enjoyment!
