The first edition Oyster armchair F156 with nickel-plated frame, designed in 1958 by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, released in the late 1950s-early 1960s. The chair was made in two sizes, this is the smaller, rare version. Since the 60s/70s, Pierre Paulin has been celebrated worldwide to this day for his furniture and complete interior designs. Pierre Paulin's designs are characterized by sculptural forms based on pure seating comfort. The designs, such as this extremely comfortable chair, are a clear image of the times, but due to the progressiveness of the design timeless and applicable in any interior.
We have just professionally reupholstered the Oyster with a beautiful 1970s green bouclé fabric and it is ready for another lifetime of use!
