Rare Artifort F592 armchair from the 1960s designed by Geoffrey Harcourt. Complete with the original footstool/ottoman. Original upholstery, black leather.
This early model stands out due to its unique base. It was part of the Artifort collection from 1966 to 1969. The heavy metal sled base would eventually be replaced by the famous swivel tulip base introduced in 1967. According to Artifort itself, an estimated only about 100 examples of the F592 were produced.
Both the armchair and ottoman are still in beautiful and entirely original vintage condition. The leather is well-maintained and has a lovely patina. It is super comfortable to sit in, as you would expect from an Artifort.
