This is an F587 swivel armchair, designed by Geoffrey D. Harcourt for the Dutch manufacturer Artifort. The design, dating from the 1960s, is an icon of the Mid-Century Modern period and is characterized by its inviting, shell-shaped seat. The armchair is upholstered in a woven textile with a two-tone houndstooth pattern in grey and ecru. The seat and backrest feature tufted details that enhance comfort. It rests on a distinctive four-star swivel base, made of chromed metal, allowing for stable and smooth rotation. This piece is in good, vintage condition and retains its original upholstery and construction.
