Artichoke shaped pendant lamp by famous Italian designer Carlo Nason for AV Mazzega, 1970s. The designer was born in Murano, in 1935, where he was introduced to the finest glass-making techniques. His designs combine craftsmanship and innovation, balancing the classic Murano tradition with the clean forms and modularity of modern, contemporary design.
The LS 181 chandelier was constructed by hand, out of 11 curved, hand-blown, Murano glass leaves, resting on a stainless steel base. The leaves are adjustable and can be turned to change the shape of the design.
The chandelier is in perfect (vintage) condition, with hardly any age-related wear. Measurements: D51 x H43 cm (H93 incl. chain)
