Artemide Pausania table lamp, designed by Ettore Sottsass in the 1980s. There is some damage to the black top, clearly visible in the photos.
The lamp is a textbook example of the Memphis group aesthetic and is designed to resemble a stylized Greek temple.
Materials: The original 1980s version is made of plastic (methacrylate and ABS) and metal.
Color: Recognizable by the green, perforated shade ("the roof") and the glossy black columns and base.
Light source: The original 1980s model often used a fluorescent lamp (PL lamp), while the modern Artemide reissue is equipped with a dimmable "Tunable White" LED module.
Did you know? The name "Pausania" refers to the Greek traveler and geographer Pausanias, which perfectly complements the architectural, temple-like shape of the lamp.
