We proudly offer this beautiful Artemide Oraccolo, the iconic large model designed by the legendary architect and designer Gae Aulenti in 1969. This piece is finished in a stylish, deep brown color, which perfectly matches the warm aesthetic of the seventies.
This lamp is a true heirloom that has been in our family's possession for 50 years. We purchased the lamp new at the time, meaning its complete history is known. This piece dates from the early production period of the 1970s, making it an extremely authentic collector's item.
Condition:
The lamp is in exceptionally good condition, virtually mint condition.
Glass: The impressive opal glass globe is completely intact, without cracks, chips, or scratches. Fixture: The brown lacquered metal base is perfectly maintained and shows no signs of use. The lacquer retains its beautiful color and shine.
Operation: The lamp emits the characteristic, atmospheric diffuse light for which the Oracolo is known.
About the designer & the model:
Gae Aulenti is one of the most important names in Italian design history (known for, among others, the Musée d'Orsay). The Oraccolo, meaning 'Oracle', is a masterpiece of modernism.
