An elegant Art Nouveau coat rack from Belgium, dating to around 1905, combining function and artistry in a refined design. The piece is crafted from richly toned wood with the characteristic organic, flowing lines of the Art Nouveau movement.
Behind the glass front are four delicate watercolor postcards by Cassier, each depicting winter landscapes with figures, cottages, and sailing boats, charming vignettes that evoke the serene beauty of early 20th-century life.
This rare combination of utility and decorative art captures the refined craftsmanship and romantic naturalism of the period.
A small section is missing from the upper molding (visible in photos), consistent with age and use.
