This table mirror for a dressing table or desk is late 19th or early 20th century and in the Art Nouveau style. Inspired by ancient Egypt, it represents the headdress of the goddess Isis: 2 cow horns encircling a solar disk. It is made of cherry wood and features an alabaster ring at its base. It has been fully restored and varnished with shellac.
This mirror has been fully restored by a cabinetmaker. One of the branches has been refixed with a dowel and glued with traditional glue (fish glue), but the crack is still visible. The end of one of the branches is chipped.
