Antique oval jardinière or planter, made of yellow copper or brass using the repoussé technique, with floral decoration in relief. The pewter insert is also present, circa 1900, unmarked.
This antique planter is highly decorative, typical of Art Nouveau style. The floral and organic elements are central, with elegant curved handles flowing into the legs. Centrally, a detailed cross-like motif with stylized floral or leaf-shaped elements is decorated. The whole has a beautiful patina of age.
This object is in good antique condition, with only minor signs of age and use consistent with its age, such as a small dent along the top edge. The oval shape is slightly distorted. Not all four legs touch the ground, but the planter still looks fantastic and exudes character. Check the photos for more details!
