A very pretty pair of Art Nouveau wall sconces. Made of bronze by the Parisian firm Charles Ranc, founded in 1909 by Charles Eugène Frédéric Ranc from the Ardèche region, at 64 rue de la Folie Méricourt. The Ranc firm is distinguished by the quality of its bronzes and the fine work of its chasing. A beautiful production of lighting fixtures that continued with his sons after the death of its founder. The Charles Ranc firm then became Ranc Frères. The address of the firm was moved in 1930 to 97 rue Oberkampf in Paris. The stamp is affixed to the back of the sconces (see last photo). The gilding is in superb condition with a beautiful shine. The wall section is decorated with foliage and a dragonfly. Supplied with recently made translucent glass paste shades. Perfect condition.
