Product description
Elegant hand-carved wooden sculpture of a stylized dancer with raised arms, in the elongated Art Deco style seen in Balinese woodcarving from the 1930s and 1940s. The body is finished in natural wood tones, with gilded hair, a black accent along the torso, and a deep green painted lower body/dress with a thin line running along it. Small red accents on the lips and nails give the whole a graphic finish. The sculpture stands on a rectangular black wooden base. A true statement piece for a shelf, sideboard, or reading nook. Specifications:

Condition (please examine the photos carefully):
- A visible age crack runs through the gilded "hair" section at the top — this appears to be natural wood movement rather than wear damage
- The gilding has peeled off at the top of the raised arm loop, exposing bare wood in a few spots
- Small chip where the carved hair meets the top tip of the head
- Light paint wear and some scuff marks on the green-painted legs, and some wear where the foot meets the base (see detail photos)
- No wobbling; stands firmly on the base
