Beautiful Art Deco Val Saint Lambert cheese dome made of Rosaline glass designed by Charles Graffart and René Delvenne in the 1930s.
This cheese dome belongs to the Luxval “Severina” Rosaline series and dates from approximately 1935.
This model, also known as “Severina,” perfectly reflects the geometric beauty and modernist style of the Art Deco period. The object is crafted from set crystal and features a subtle soft pink color (rosaline), along with a striking architectural design with linear and stacked motifs that beautifully capture and distribute the light.
The dome-shaped lid is characterized by a sturdy, sculptural handle, while the base is made with integrated sides, making it both elegant and practical for table use. An ideal addition to a chic breakfast table, brunch arrangement, or for an elegant presentation of butter, cheese, pastries, or small snacks.

In the 1930s and 1940s, luxury cut crystal was inaccessible to most people, and to meet the demand and compete with companies such as Walther-Glas & Scailmont, Val-Saint-Lambert founded Luxval. With this product line, decorative Art Deco glassware was manufactured by the most famous designers of that period, Charles Graffart and René Delvenne. Printed glass is also known as depression glass, a term used in the United States. In Europe, the designs are increasingly categorized as 'Art Deco' and 'Jugendstil'. Dimensions:
