Rare and collectible Small serving butter dish composed of 2 parts: platter and top part that press and molds the 'curling' butter rolls.
The softened butter is placed in the bottom of the butter mold (butter dish) and by pressing the grid, butter shells of different shapes are made. The butter must then be cooled in its butter dish before serving it.
When making butter curls and pats, it's important to start off with a cool, firm stick of butter that has been at room temperature for only a few minutes. It needs to cold enough hold its shape, but if it is too cold, the curls will break or fall apart while peeling. Experiment with different types of curlers¨
