Art Deco perpetual calendar by Jakob Maul, made in Germany in the 1920s or 1930s.
A highly decorative and collectible item, a real eye-catcher for any office.
The calendar is mounted on a Belgian black marble base, with a chromed steel front.
It displays the day of the week, the date, and the month.
The day is set by turning a knob on the back, and the date is set manually by pressing the buttons on the left and right. The month is displayed on small cards inserted in the slot at the bottom.
The calendar includes a complete set of original celluloid monthly cards (text on both sides).
Marked on the back with the manufacturer's mark "JM."
Jakob Maul was a renowned German company, founded in 1912, specializing in office supplies.
There is a crack in the marble base that has been repaired.
