Czech Republic/ 1930 / Spider table / Model H259 / Jindrich Halabala / Spojené UP Zavody / wood / Art Deco / Mid-Century / Vintage This Art Deco coffee table known as the "spider table" (Model H259) was designed by Jindrich Halabala and is produced by Spojené UP Zavody in 1930. This 'Spider' model table features remarkable curved tapered legs which creates an overall playful appearance. The square-shaped wooden table top is executed with rounded corners. Jindrich Halabala (1903 - 1978) was one of the most famous Czech furniture designers of the 20th century and his designs are in great demand today. His creations are in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Olomouc Museum of Art and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
