A vintage Italian Art Deco wood cabinet from the estimated 1930s, combining the sculptural curves of Streamline Moderne with warm wood, chrome-plated details, clear glass shelving and chrome caster wheels. Designed as a compact storage and display cabinet, the piece features four drawers beneath an enclosed upper compartment, giving it the distinctive architectural presence associated with Italian Art Deco furniture of the period.

The cabinet has an elegant vertical silhouette softened by rounded corners and continuous horizontal mouldings. Four curved-front drawers are fitted with long tubular chrome handles, while the upper cabinet opens to reveal two clear glass shelves. Rounded side panels and small spherical chrome caster wheels continue the streamlined geometry throughout, subtly lifting the cabinet from the floor while allowing it to be moved with ease. The warm wood surface contrasts beautifully with the cooler polished metal, creating a particularly refined Italian Art Deco expression.
Italian furniture of the 1930s and 1940s increasingly combined the geometry of Art Deco with the softer, aerodynamic forms associated with Streamline Moderne. Curved cabinetry, restrained ornamentation and chrome accents became characteristic elements of sophisticated European interiors during this period. Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its period. The wood shows light scratches, small marks, edge wear and areas of finish loss, including visible wear around the top and lower rounded edges. The chrome elements show light age-related wear and patina. The drawers and upper cabinet remain functional, and both glass shelves are present.
