This solid crystal vase is a striking example of geometric Art Deco from the 1920s and 30s. The heavy, hand-cut surface (edge-cut) and warm topaz color give the glass a special depth and brilliance in the light.
Design & Classification: The design is strongly influenced by the Wiener Werkstätte (Vienna Workshop). The strict geometry is reminiscent of the designs of Josef Hoffmann, as executed in Bohemia (e.g., by Moser Karlsbad). Comparable models frequently appear in the art market under the attribution "Moser." Since the object is unsigned, it is offered here as an authentic piece of the period "in the style of" Moser/Hoffmann.
Material: Solid crystal glass (approx. 800g), Color: Amber/Topaz.
Condition: This is an original piece in well-loved vintage condition. The vase has noticeable chips on the polished edges and some cloudiness/discoloration in the glass. Despite these flaws, it is a beautiful decorative object that captures the charm of the era. The price has been adjusted to reflect its condition.
