A striking Art Deco-style extendable dining table from the 1930s, characterized by its strong architectural appearance and sculptural central base.
The table features a beautifully proportioned rectangular top with softly rounded corners and a solid surrounding frame, finished with fine veneered panels in a warm mahogany shade with a rich, natural patina. Subtle, integrated wooden handles reveal a seamlessly integrated extension mechanism, allowing the table to be extended without losing its sleek, monolithic appearance.
The base is particularly striking: a robust, semi-cylindrical wooden base anchored by a geometric cross-shaped leg made of a combination of steel and brass. This interplay of materials creates both visual contrast and structural clarity, characteristic of the European Art Deco style of the interwar period.
The table can be extended from 155 cm to 290 cm thanks to a seamlessly integrated extension system, offering both functionality and a sculptural appearance.
