Product description
This luxurious two-piece desk set, comprising a letter holder and a rocker blotter, exemplifies the iconic Art Deco style. Manufactured in Italy during the 1930s, the set showcases the elegance and perfect symmetry characteristic of the interwar period.
The bases of both pieces are crafted from Nero Portoro marble, a material highly prized for its deep black color streaked with spectacular natural gold and beige veining, polished to a high gloss. The letter holder features dividers made of solid, patinated brass, which also forms the substantial, geometric handle of the blotter. The letter holder measures 13 cm in height, 23 cm in width, and 11.5 cm in depth.
The set remains in very good condition, with the marble showing no major chips and the brass elements securely mounted, displaying a beautiful natural patina. The blotter is fully functional and ready for use.
