This elegant Art Deco dressing table by A A Patijn for Zijlstra Joure is a beautiful Dutch design from the 1930s. The flowing curves and warm wood colour give the piece a distinctive character, while the understated design ensures that the dressing table also looks surprisingly good in a contemporary interior. Characteristic of the design are the beautifully curved sides and drawers, fitted with refined bronze handles. The tabletop is protected by a glass plate, and the large mirror completes the ensemble. The combination of soft lines, warm wood tones, and subtle details gives this dressing table the elegant appearance so typical of the Art Deco period. The original stool is also included with the dressing table, ensuring the piece has been preserved as a complete unit. A special piece of Dutch vintage design that can be used practically as well as making a stylish statement in a bedroom or dressing room. The dressing table is in good vintage condition but, appropriate for its age, shows visible signs of use and age in a few places. For instance, there is some damage to the top of the cabinet, and the mirror also shows signs of age. These details are clearly captured in the photos.
